Learning objectives
Biomedical engineering is pre-eminently a multidisciplinary field. Thermodynamics deals with energy conversion processes and lays the link between mechanics, chemistry, biology and electromagnetisme. The aim of this course is to master the energy frameword coupling those fields.
Content
Energy. First law. Second law. Entropy. Phase transitions. Free energy. Enthalpy. Mechanical deformation and stress. Chemical reactions. The third law.
