Learning objectives
The course should enable students to make an electrical lighting design. It prepares the student for entering further classes in the 'Engineering Intelligent Lighting' program, prepares him/her for making architectural lighting designs, and also for doing research in this area.
Content
Topics include: Light and architecture; photometry and colorimetry; optics; light sources; energy efficiency; controls and interaction; light and materials; measurement & validation methods of light designs; Dialux simulation software. Every week consists of two blocks of lectures and/or workshops. In addition, several modules include a small assignment to get hands-on experience with the lectured content.
